The Idaho Caregiver Alliance began as the Idaho Lifespan Respite Coalition, a consortium of organizations and agencies that guide and support the Lifespan Respite grant received by the Idaho Commission on Aging and funded by the Administration on Community Living. The mission of this three-year grant, funded in 2013, was to “advance the well-being of caregivers by promoting collaboration that improves access to quality, responsive lifespan respite care across the state.”
The focus of the ICA Legislative Policy project will be to assure effective and timely internal and external communications about legislative activities in Idaho that have the potential to impact caregivers. This work will be accomplished by a graduate student who is serving as the Policy Intern for the Idaho Public Health Association (IPHA).
