Needs Assessment on Kinship Families in Idaho

Relatives As Parents (RAPs) or kinship caregivers are relatives, often grandparents raising grandchildren, caring for a relative child due to the parent’s inability to care for them. The number of kinship families in Idaho and nationwide are growing and these caregivers need recognition, support and resources. 

Resource Needs of Caregivers and Parents as Students in University Settings

Over five million students attend higher education and provide care for an adult with a disability or other health condition. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with university students across a large Mountain West university. This survey addresses the impacts of being a caregiver or parent on perceived academic success and the resources needed.
