Each state has their own set of resources for caregivers. AARP has created a comprehensive list of the resources available in Idaho. If you are in another state or curious about different organizations utilized in other states, you can view the article at AARP


Most notably mentioned were the Areas Agencies on Aging. Although “aging” is mentioned in the title, these agencies have many resources in place for caregivers across the lifespan. Visiting the Area on Aging can help connect you to respite care, Meals on Wheels, and online classes. Click on this link to find the Area Agency on Aging associated with your location.


Another resource mentioned was the Idaho 211 Careline. The hotline can be reached through simply dialing 211. Information about Medicaid and more will be referred to you.


Also, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is an organization that serves the community. Their many services include connection to SNAP benefits and Medicare. They have services that can walk you through qualification processes.
