Family Support Group – Post Falls – NAMI Coeur d’Alene

WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning) Peer Support Group
WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning) is a peer-support group for families, caregivers, love ones and/or the person living with mental illness. They follow the Mary Ellen Copeland model & a few other helpful learning tools that will enhance your mental wellbeing. They meet every Wednesday from 4:00 -5:00 p.m.. PST

Alzheimer’s Support Group: Washington State Chapter – Alzheimer’s Association
Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:
Develop a support system
Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions
Talk through issues and ways of coping
Share feelings, needs and concerns
Learn about community resources

Senior Connection
Services that Senior Connection provides:
- Respite Services
- Homemaker Services
- Alzheimer’s Support Group
- Dr. Carol Stephens, licensed psychologist who specializes in geriatrics leads and facilitates this group to provide education, therapy, and support to family caregivers. Dr. Stephens is certified to train by the Alzheimer’s Association. They have free respite care on-site so you can attend worry free. They also invite you to enjoy lunch on us! - Connection Club.
- The Connection Club is our program for clients with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. It is held on site at the Senior Connection and includes structured activities and crafts, lunch, music therapy, and fitness. It occurs on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11 am—3 pm. It is $80 per day and lunch is included. Call Mary @ 208-595-1898 for more information.
North Idaho Memory Clinic
Provides a team approach to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of memory problems. Each patient is seen and evaluated by a team of memory professionals, consisting of a physician, a neuropsychologist, and medical/clinical social workers. You will be offered tailored treatment, including educational resources to manage day-to-day living as independently as possible. We provide support, education and guidance to individuals and families whose loved ones are struggling with memory difficulty. They also offer a support group for family caregivers. Parkinson’s Foundation – Pacific Northwest Chapter
People with Parkinson’s disease (PD) have a better life because of Parkinson’s Foundation Pacific Northwest. Their online events provide a variety of ways to seek support and get involved virtually including mindfullness Mondays, fitness Fridays, and support groups.

Rays for Rare supports for medically fragile children through advocacy, support, and education for the child and their care provider. Supports available include family events, housekeeping, meal service, support groups and more.

The Alzheimer’s Association provides supports for caregivers of persons living with Alzheimer’s. These include education (online videos or classes), support groups, and a 24 hour helpline.
Lewy Body Facebook Support Group
A Facebook group to share info, ask questions and give support to Lewy Body Dementia Patients and caregivers of people with Lewy Body Dementia (a specific type of dementia with some symptoms similar to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, but often including hallucinations and REM sleep disorder, among other symptoms).
